Maoists kill four BSF officers in Malkangiri, Odisha

Bhubneshwar, Feb 10: Maoists today killed four Border Security Force (BSF) officers, including a commanding officer, in an IED blast in Odisha’s Malkangiri District.

According to reports, the BSF squad was targeted at around 1 p.m. in the Janbai area of the district, under Chitragonda police station area, 465 km from here.

The officers were returning in their vehicle after attending a meeting with the district administration.

Officers who died in the blast have been identified as Commandant (107 battalion) GR Khaswan, Second-in-Command Rajesh Sharan, inspector Ashok and assistant sub-inspector and Jitendra, radio operator of the squad. (ANI)
