Ronnie O’Sullivan handed driving ban after exceeding speed limit

London, Feb 11: Snooker star Ronnie O’Sullivan has been banned from driving for two months after he was caught driving at 100 mph in a 30 mph zone on Friday.

“The Rocket” had his wings clipped after he admitted racing around East London in his BMW M3.

The three-times world champion was caught by a speed camera.

Speeding usually carries a 60-pound fine and three penalty points, but Walthamstow magistrates also gave him a two-month ban because of the speed.

“He knows he’s been a naughty boy and accepts the punishment,” the Sun quoted O’Sullivan’s manager Django Fung as saying.

“He has now taken an advanced driving course. As I told him, ‘This is not right. You can’t keep driving like a maniac’,” Fung said.

O’Sullivan, 36, was banned for a year and fined 1,200 pounds in 1995 for doing 133mph on the M3. (ANI)
