New Delhi, Feb 27: Mahie Gill, known for her portrayal of ‘bold’ characters, has divulged that she is not worried about being typecast in the film industry.
The 36-year-old actress has done films like ‘Dev D’, ‘Not A Love Story’ and ‘Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster’, in all of which she shed her inhibitions.
“I will not get typecast. I don’t think the issue is about revealing; it’s about doing particular characters. When you are doing a particular character, for which such scenes are required at a particular point of time, you have to do it,” she said.
However, she also said that as an actor it was important for her to be totally convinced about the scene’s requirement in the movie.
“I don’t work with sleazy directors. I have been working with intelligent directors, who are smart and know their job really well. It’s not that all of a sudden a director asks you to do intimate scenes. During a film’s making, you yourself feel these scenes are required,” she said.
She is currently gearing up for her next film ‘Paan Singh Tomar’, which will hit the theatres on March 2. (ANI)
