Russian cop kills man over parking dispute

Moscow, March 24 (IANS/RIA Novosti) A policeman in Moscow allegedly shot dead a man who accidentally brushed him with a car while parking, police said.

The men, both of whom were accompanied by their spouses, fell into a hot verbal spat that ended with the policeman shooting the other man through the windshield.

The victim’s wife drove him to hospital, but he died on the way of a bullet wound to the chest, police said.

The suspect is a staff sergeant of the city police unit providing commercial guard services.

He faces up to life in prison if convicted over the shooting.
