‘Dinner with Barack’ offers fans dinner date with George Clooney

Washington, Apr 20: George Clooney is helping build support to re-elect President Obama in November by hosting a fundraising event as a part of Obama campaign’s perennial “Dinner with Barack” contest.

According to the Herald Sun, a donation to Obama’s re-election campaign could end up buying a few lucky contributors a night with the President and George Clooney.

Donors will be entered into a lottery for an opportunity to join the two at a high-profile May fundraiser in Clooney’s Hollywood home.

“Any donation you make today automatically enters you for a chance to be George Clooney’s guest at a reception for President Obama,” the Obama campaign wrote in a fundraising solicitation called “Obama, Clooney and You.”

“George Clooney is doing his part to help re-elect the President, but he knows that it’s grassroots supporters like you who will decide this election. Support the campaign with a donation, and throw your name in the hat today,” the campaign offered.

The Obama campaign has been raffling off a monthly dinner with President Obama in exchange for a donation of any amount – even 1 dollar, the Politico reported. (ANI)
