India talks tough on SRK’s detention at New York airport

New Delhi, Apr 13: External Affairs Minister S.M. Krishna on Friday expressed his displeasure on the detention of Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan at a New York airport, saying there should be an end to such incidents.

Krishna has also asked Indian Ambassador to US, Nirupama Rao, to take up this issue with the concerned authorities in Washington.

“It has become a habit these days to first detain and then apologise. This can’t continue,” said Krishna, while expressing his displeasure over the incident.

Khan, who had gone to the US to visit the Yale University, was detained for over two hours at a New York airport. (ANI)
