New Delhi, Apr 10: The Foreign Minister of Montenegro, Milan Rocen, will pay a three-day official visit to India beginning today at the invitation of External Affairs Minister S.M. Krishna.
This is an important milestone in bilateral ties, as it is the first ever high-level visit between the two countries since Montenegro attained independence in June 2006.
Krishna will hold delegation-level talks with the visiting Foreign Minister on Wednesday and discuss bilateral matters and regional and international issues of mutual interest. The meeting will be held at the Hyderabad House here.
The Foreign Minister of Montenegro, who will arrive here this evening, will lay a wreath at Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi’s samadhi at the Rajghat tomorrow.
