Washington, May 19: The state of moral values amongst Americans is deteriorating, a new survey has revealed.
According to a Gallup poll, 43 percent of the voters rated the moral values amongst Americans as “poor”, 36 percent said that they were “only fair,” while only 20 percent claimed them to be “excellent or good”.
For three-quarters of Americans, the outlook seemed bleak as 73 percent said moral values are deteriorating, while 19 percent said they’re getting better.
According to Politico, a partisan divide was also visible in the poll results with 82 percent of Republicans claiming a negative view of America’s moral values, as opposed to 72 percent of Independents and 53 percent of Democrats who felt otherwise.
