Tehran, May 14: Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has compared Israel to an annoying ‘mosquito’, saying the Jewish state poses no danger to Tehran’s nuclear program.
“Israel is nothing more than a mosquito which cannot see the broad horizon of the Iranian nation,” The News quoted Ahmadinejad, as saying.
According to the report, he also predicted Israel could fall if regional powers refuse to sell oil to Israelis.
Ahmadinejad had recently said that war was not essential destroy Israel, and that it could be achieved if regional states cut their ties with the Jewish nation.
“The destruction of the Zionist regime does not necessitate making war,’ he had said.
“If countries of the region cut ties with the Zionists and give them dirty looks, it will spell the end of this puppet regime,” he added. (ANI)
