De Niro thinks Obama has done a ‘good job’, slams recent ‘shenanigans for their silliness’

Washington, May 5: Hollywood actor Robert De Niro believes that Barack Obama has done a good job as a president of United States, but he slammed the “shenanigans”, “divisiveness” and “silliness” that have surrounded politics in America recently.

“You know, it’s very easy to criticize people. I think he’s done a good job. He’s done other things that maybe he should have been a little stronger about, people will complain. But it’s not easy to be president of the United States,” Politico quoted De Niro, who is an Obama supporter himself, as saying.

“Well, one, you see all the shenanigans going on about, you know, the divisiveness is always, it’s upsetting. And I think most people feel that way,” he added.

De Niro claimed that “about all the things [Obama] did, as far as bin Laden and other things, he stepped up to being a liberal president.”

“There is always the negative side of that. But he took the chance to do it, and he did it. I know he’ll do better in the next four years, when he won’t have to worry whether he’s gonna be elected or not,” De Niro added.

De Niro urged party campaigners to ‘stop the silliness and posturing’ and said to ‘try stop criticizing and rather help the president, even if you are from another party, the other party. Try to move forward’. (ANI)
