A hot day ahead for Delhi

New Delhi, May 26: It was a hot Saturday morning in the capital with clear, sunny skies. The minimum temperature settled five notches above the average at 32.5 degrees Celsius. The Met Office has forecast a hot day with the mercury hovering around the 44 degrees Celsius.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said the skies will remain clear and sunny through the day.

“Mainly clear sky. Today’s (Saturday) maximum temperature is expected to hover around 44 degrees Celsius,” an IMD official said.

The humidity level recorded at 8.30 a.m. was 28 percent.

Friday’s maximum temperature was 44 degrees Celsius and the minimum was a notch above what is the average for this time of the season at 27.8 degrees Celsius.
