Six hurt in rough landing by Russian military plane

Moscow, May 23: At least six people were injured when a Russian military plane made a hard landing and caught fire in the Czech Republic Wednesday, the defence ministry said.

The twin-engine Antonov An-30 aircraft, carrying 24 people, caught fire when it made a hard landing at a military airport east of Prague, said ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov, Xinhua reported.

Fourteen Russian and nine Czech servicemen were evacuated after the incident, the official said.
