New York, May 26: Former U.S. Presidential candidate and Senator John Edwards, who is facing campaign finance fraud trial, has been seen flirting with one of the alternate jurors.
As jury deliberations continue in the case, one gorgeous alternate juror has taken to openly flirting with the former presidential hopeful-turned-lying adulterer.
According to the reporters in courtroom, the juror, a young woman with jet-black hair, has repeatedly giggled and flashed smiles at Edwards and was spotted flipping her hair back in a ‘come-hither’ way, the New York Daily News reported.
On Friday, she arrived at court wearing a revealing red top, which exposed her right shoulder.
Edwards, clearly amused, has returned the woman’s advances with some smiles of his own and was even seen blushing.
The flirtation has become so obvious that even Edwards’ attorneys have had a hard time suppressing their laughter, ABC News reported.
Edwards, the 2004 Democratic nominee for VP who unsuccessfully sought the White House in 2008, is charged with using nearly 1 million dollars in campaign cash to cover up his affair with mistress Rielle Hunter.
The sensational trial focused on Edwards’ sexual shenanigans with Hunter while his wife, Elizabeth, was dying of breast cancer.
If convicted, Edwards could face up to 30 years in prison and 1.5 million dollars in fines.
Jurors deliberated for a sixth day on Friday.
The four alternate jurors, meanwhile, have become the talk of the courtroom.
On Thursday, they showed up in matching bright yellow shirts. While on Friday, they all wore red.
The alternates – three women and one man – have been required to show up each day but have not been allowed to take part in the deliberations.
They are sent to a holding room with instructions to avoid discussing the case.
They do, however, get to have lunch with the regular jurors. (ANI)
