New Delhi, June 10: It was a hot, bright day in the national capital Sunday with the maximum temperature settling at 41.8 degrees Celsius, three notches above average. Monday could be hotter but also see thunderstorms in some areas.
Sunday’s minimum temperature was at 29.5 degrees, two notches above the average. The humidity hovered between a high of 35 percent and a low of 23 percent.
“We expect partly cloudy skies with a possibility of thunderstorms in some areas Monday. The maximum and minimum temperature should be around 43 and 30 degrees Celsius respectively,” an official at the India Meteorological Department (IMD) told IANS.
Saturday’s maximum and minimum temperatures were both a notch above average at 40.6 degrees and 29.1 degrees Celsius respectively.
