Mass wedding is national tradition, says UAE minister

Abu Dhabi, June 28 (IANS/WAM) Mass wedding is the UAE’s national tradition, said Interior Minister General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The minister was speaking at a mass wedding ceremony Thursday in Al Madam district of Sharjah. He said the government wants to ease the burden on youths planning to get married. The bride and grooms thanked the minister for gracing the event.
