One Army soldier killed in militant attack in Pampore

Pampore (J-K), July 7: One Army soldier was killed and another injured in a militant attack at the highway town of Pampore in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama District.

Unidentified militants opened fire on the Army convoy protection party at Kadalbal area of Pampore, 16 kms from here, on Srinagar-Jammu national highway, said S. M. Sahai, the Inspector General of the Kashmir Police.

Sahai said that the injured soldier of the Rashtriya Rifles has been admitted to the Army hospital in the area.

Search for the militants is being conducted. Further details of the incident are awaited. (ANI)
