Indore, July 11: Cricketer Virender Sehwag unveiled the trophy for the 2012 Twenty 20 cricket World Cup here on Wednesday.
The trophy, enclosed in a glass case was shown to mediapersons from the stage, and it will be taken to other cities across the country as well.
Sehwag was accompanied by officials from Reliance Communications, one of the main sponsors of the tournament.
India had won the inagural edition of the T20 World Cup at South Africa’s Johannesburg city back in 2007.
This year, the T20 World Cup is scheduled from September to October in Sri Lanka.
A series of 27 matches would be hosted where a total of twelve countries would participate. (ANI)
