Saina Nehwal loses London Olympics semi-final to world no.1 Yang Wihan

London, Aug.3: Indian badminton star Saina Nehwal lost 13-21 13-21 to world number one Yang Wihan of China in the semi-finals of the London Olympics.

This was Nehwal’s sixth straight defeat to Wihan, who has a reputation of not giving even an inch to her opponents, and the third this year.

The two last met in January this year at the Malaysian Open where Saina lost 15-21, 16-21.

Wihan is looking to clinch the gold medal, as the final is going to be an all-Chinese affair, with three of the four semi-finalists hailing from China. (ANI)
