Sharath in Asian team for European TT tourney

New Delhi, Aug 21: India’s top paddler Sharath Kamal has been included in the Asian team for the Euro-Asia Event European Stage table tennis event to be held at Vendee, France in October.

Besides 73rd ranked Sharath, the two-day event will see four other players from Asia, including World No. 8 Chuang Chih Yuan (Chinese Taipei), No. 11 Joo Saehyuk (South Korea) and No. 18 Niwa Koki (Japan). A player from China is yet to be named.

Dhanraj Choudhary, the Table Tennis Federation of India secretary general, has been named the team manager.
