Stephanie Rice going strong on Twitter stakes

Melbourne, August 1: Stephanie Rice has remained devoted to her Twitter while in the London athletes’ village, despite Emily Seebohm admitting that an obsession with the social networking site may have cost her a gold medal.

The 24-year-old swimmer, who lost a swag of sponsors last year after calling South Africa’s rugby team “fa**ots” on Twitter, has nonetheless continued to keep her 80,000 followers updated on her every move.

In fact no sooner had Rice crashed out of the 400m individual medley earlier this week than she took to Twitter.

“Need to edit my bio on twitter seeing as tho I’m not a World Record holder any more. Stoked that it was the last record to get broken tho,” the Daily telegraph quoted her as tweeting. (ANI)
