Woman jailed for throwing daughter from third floor

Moscow, Aug 21: A woman in Russia has been jailed for throwing her three-year-old daughter from the third floor balcony because she broke a record player, RIA Novosti reported Tuesday.
The 27-year-old woman, a resident of central Russia’s Lipetsk region, was given an eight-year prison sentence.
Her daughter was seriously injured but survived the fall.
The woman, however, pleaded not guilty, and claimed that the girl had fallen off the balcony on her own.
