Britain suffers from fat cats

London, Sep 19: While many people invariably fear putting on extra pounds, in Britain nearly a third of country’s eight million moggies have turned real fat and face risk to their health.

According to a survey, an amazing 30 percent of these felines are hugely overweight and are at greater risk of developing or worsening conditions such as diabetes and arthritis.

One home in five in Britain has at least one fat cat, says website spotcatpain.co.uk.

“Once the weight has gone on it, it can be very difficult to get off,” said veterinarian Martha Cannon.
