Ex-trainer Roach advises his replacement to keep Khan away from punchers

London, Sep 18(ANI): British boxer Amir Khan’s axed coach Freddie Roach has one piece of advice for any trainer who agrees to join the Brit fighter’s camp, saying they should keep Khan away from punchers.

“I like Amir but they should keep him away from punchers,” the Sun quoted Roach, as saying.

Meanwhile, Khan has asked Virgil Hunter to become his new trainer.

Hunter currently trains WBC and WBA super-middleweight champion Andre Ward.

Khan is on his fifth trainer since turning pro in 2004, and his critics have constantly ridiculed his ability to take a punch. (ANI)
