Sydney, Sept. 23: Australian police are investigating threats made to the Mount Druitt-based Islamic college in the wake of violent protests in Sydney last week.
Assistant Commissioner Alan Clarke said police are taking the threats ‘most seriously’.
“We are thoroughly investigating this and chasing every rabbit down every hole,” he said.
According to the Sydney Morning Herald, the Australian Islamic College of Sydney apparently received phone messages that threatened it would be blown up and a pig’s head be thrown onto the grounds.
The threats came as two men were arrested for inciting violence against Islamic communities as retaliation for the violent Muslim protest against the U.S.-made film Innocence of Muslims last week. (ANI)
