Bill Clinton says Obama’s ‘climate policies’ work better than Romney’s in ‘real world’

Washington, Oct 31: Former US President Bill Clinton has criticized Republican Presidential candidate Mitt Romney’s position on climate change following the devastation caused by Hurricane Sandy, saying that Barack Obama’s policies were better for the environment.

“In the real world, Barack Obama’s policies work better,” Clinton said at a campaign rally in Minnesota.

According to Politico, Clinton also pointed out that Romney mocked Obama’s position on climate change during the first presidential debate, although the topic didn’t come up.

“He ridiculed the president, ridiculed the president for his efforts to fight global warming in economically beneficial ways. He said ‘Oh, you’re going to turn back the seas,’” the report quoted Clinton, as saying.

According to the report, while Romney did say “Obama promised to begin to slow the rise of the oceans and to heal the planet” at the Republican National Convention, there was no mention of climate change during the first presidential debate in Denver. (ANI)
