Boy killed in road accident

New Delhi, Oct 18: An eight-year-old boy was killed when a speeding truck hit a cycle-rickshaw in which he was travelling here, police said Thursday.

Zahid died in the accident in central Delhi’s Lal Kuan area around 2 p.m., police said.

“Zahid was going with his grandmother in a rickshaw. Suddenly, a truck struck the rickshaw and the child fell down. He died in hospital,” police said.

The victim’s grandmother received minor injuries, police said.
