Cabinet reshuffle: PM assures Kataria new portfolio

New Delhi, Oct 30: Another controversy erupted Tuesday over Sunday’s cabinet reshuffle with confusion persisting over the portfolio of Lalchand Kataria, who was named minister of state for defence.

His portfolio is likely to be changed as Jitendra Singh, who was also named minister of state for defence, and Kataria are both from Rajasthan.

Sources in the defence ministry have said that Defence Minister A.K. Antony had no objections to Kataria’s appointment.
