Jammu, Oct.21: Social activist Manish Sisodia, who is a close aide of anti-graft crusader Arvind Kejriwal said that the recent exposes have revealed that all major political parties of India are corrupt.
Talking to reporters on Sunday, Sisodia said the Congress Party and the Bharatiya Janata Party might have different names, but have the same aspirations.
“It is constantly coming into light that the NCP (Nationalist Congress Party), Congress Party and BJP only have different names, but are all corrupt. They loot the farmers and common man. All of them are not currently exposed and only to divert the focus from their own wrongdoings, they have begun questioning our integrity.
However, we are ready to face everything and answer all questions,” said Sisodia.
He added that the country is eager to hear out Congress Party chief, Sonia Gandhi and General Secretary and scion of Nehru-Gandhi dynasty, Rahul Gandhi on the recent scams.
“The country doesn’t know what Sonia Gandhi thinks about the coal scam or about Salman Khurshid’s corruption. People are unaware what both Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi think about illegal land acquisition. They should come forward and participate in the open debate. Congress leaders like Digvijay Singh should urge his party leaders to face the public and answer their questions. We will also answer all questions there,” said Sisodia.
Singh asked Kejriwal about foreign funding of an NGO with whom he is associated and violation of service rules while he was an Indian Revenue Service officer.
Singh had also called Kejriwal a “self-serving ambitious megalomaniac with scant regard for democracy”, also asked him why he “never raised” the issue of corruption in Bharatiya Janata Party-ruled states.
The IAC, however, described the questions as diversionary tactics for switching the attention of the people from real issues of ever increasing corruption and the issues that affect their daily lives.
It said these questions would be placed before the people who would decide about them. (ANI)
