Ex-captain Bari to represent PCB in T20 matches with International World XI

Islamabad, Oct 20(ANI): Former Pakistan captain Wasim Bari has been assigned by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to represent it at the two Twenty20 matches between and All Star Pakistan XI and an International World XI teams.

Bari, who is a former chief operating officer of the PCB, said the governing body would take every possible step to support the T20 matches.

“The PCB is fully facilitating the organisers in the conduct of these matches,” the Daily Times quoted Bari, as saying.

Bari said besides making playing facilities available at the National Stadium, the PCB was also providing organiser Dr Muhammad Ali Shah and his team with logistic and technical support.

Bari expressed the hope that the successful holding of these matches would benefit in the board’s quest of the return of international cricket to Pakistan.

Initially the PCB just sent good wishes to Shah in conducting the matches, but now Bari has been nominated to represent the board in these matches. (ANI)
