London, October 22: More than 1 in 4 parents would rather leave the children behind at home when jetting off for a holiday, a new survey has revealed.
They would prefer to leave without them because family holidays are just not a relaxing experience, according to a poll by online travel agency Sunshine.co.uk.
The survey found that 24 per cent felt that with their youngsters in tow, they could not do the things they wanted.
Others complained that the cost of family breaks are too high.
“The parents we spoke to were obviously very honest when we asked them whether they tried to keep their kids entertained for their own benefit or for their children’s,” the Daily Express quoted Chris Clarkson, co-founder of Sunshine.co.uk, as saying.
“I think everyone likes a bit of ‘me’ time, but a family holiday should be exactly that – all about family,” he added. (ANI)
