Gunmen kill 5 Afghan civilians

Jalalabad (Afghanistan), Oct. 22 (Xinhua-ANI): Unknown gunmen sneaked into a house and killed five members of the family in Nangarhar province 125 km east of Kabul on Sunday night, a local official said Monday.

“Unidentified gunmen entered a house in Momandara district late Sunday night and after brutally killing five civilians, all male members of the family, made their good escape,” district governor, Shukrullah told Xinhua.

He also stated that a woman was left injured in the incident.

Without pointing finger at any particular groups or individuals, the official said investigation had been initiated to identify and arrest the culprits. (Xinhua-ANI)
