Jammu, Oct 12: Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde on Friday arrived here on two-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir to review prevailing security scenario in the state.
He will hold the first high level security review with Governor NN Vohra and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah besides top brass of the police, paramilitary, civil and Intelligence officials.
Shinde is also scheduled to fly from Poonch to Suchetgarh and visit the Octroi Post on the International Border where he will meet top officials of the Border Security Force (BSF).
He will also review the situation on the International Border in Jammu sector especially in the context of a tunnel dug by the Pakistan authorities about 540 meters deep insideIndian territory at Chechwal in Samba sector.
He will also meet a delegation of traders.
This is the first visit of Shinde to Jammu and Kashmir after taking over as Home Minister. (ANI)
