Ice-T tells Obama to stay off weed ‘before next debate’

New York, Oct 6: US rapper Ice-T has offered a piece of advice to Obama, telling him to stay away from weed until his next presidential debate.

The 54-year-old hip-hop took to his Twitter account to pass on the message to the US president, following his lackluster performance at the first debate.

“No weed before the next debate homie….” Huffington Post quoted him as tweeting.

This is not the first time the musician has commented on Obama.

Earlier, he explained why America elected Obama as its first black president.

In an appearance on the fourth hour of ‘The Today Show,’ Ice-T claimed that “rap put Obama in the presidency” by creating a climate in which such a historic development was possible.

“If it wasn’t for rap, white people wouldn’t have been so open to vote for somebody like Barack Obama,” he said then.

When host Kathie Lee Gifford countered that Obama simply won because he was a good candidate, he stood his ground.

“That had to happen after their eyes were opened up, and hip-hop is what brought us together,” he said. (ANI)
