Nippy morning in Delhi

New Delhi, Oct 30: Jackets and shawls were out as Delhiites woke up to a nippy morning Tuesday with a shallow fog enveloping the city. The minimum temperature was normal for this time of the season at 15.6 degrees Celsius.

“The light veil of fog cover in the morning will clear up as the day progresses. But by evening a fog will envelop the city keeping it cool,” an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official said.

The maximum temperature is expected to hover around 29 degrees Celsius, the IMD official added.

Humidity at 8.30 a.m. stood at 92 percent.

Monday’s maximum temperature was two notches below average for this time of the year at 28.8 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature was a notch below average at 14.6 degrees Celsius.
