Obama racks up lead over Romney in Iowa, Wisconsin after second presidential debate

Washington, Oct. 19: US President Barack Obama has a considerable eight-point lead over Republican presidential contender Mitt Romney in Iowa after his strong performance at the second presidential debate in New York.

According to the NBC/WSJ/Marist poll, nearly 51 percent voters in Iowa preferred to vote for Obama as compared to 43 percent who preferred Romney.

The poll found that in Wisconsin, Obama racked up a six point lead over Romney among likely voters after the debate.

Nearly 51 percent respondents preferred to vote for Obama as compared to 45 percent who chose Romney, Politico reports.

According to the report, the poll found that Romney’s favorability has improved a bit after the debate, but the gender gap remained unchanged. (ANI)
