Obama racks up three-point lead over Romney in Virginia

Washington, Oct. 29: President Barack Obama has a three-point lead over Republican rival Mitt Romney in the state of Virginia, a new poll has found.

According to the polling conducted for the pro-Obama super PAC Priorities USA Action, nearly 49 percent respondents chose Obama as compared to 46 percent who preferred to vote for Romney.

Democratic pollster Geoff Garin announced the results on Twitter on Sunday.

In an e-mail, Garin said that nearly 53 percent women in Virginia preferred Obama while only 42 percent chose Romney, Politico reports.

Grain also said that Obama was also leading among college-educated white voters, putting the incumbent “right at the mark he needs to be hitting with whites overall to win the state”.

The results are similar to the Washington Post Poll that was recently posted. (ANI)
