Pattinson to star as Mike Nesmith?

Los Angeles, Oct 2: Actor Robert Pattinson has been reportedly approached to play the role of singer Mike Nesmith in a film based on the latter’s band “The Monkees”.

The 26-year-old, who claimed fame with the role of Edward Cullen in the vampire movie franchise “Twilight” has shown interest in the proposal.

“He is interested in the role,” dailystar.co.uk quoted a source as saying.

The actor was last seen in director David Cronenberg’s “Cosmopolis”. He will now be seen in the final movie of “Twilight” franchise “Breaking Dawn 2″.
