Pleasant Tuesday in Delhi, cool evenings ahead

New Delhi, Oct 16: It was a pleasant, sunny day here Tuesday followed a cool evening with both the maximum and minimum temperatures a notch below average for this time of the season. The met office has forecast similar weather conditions Wednesday.

“The maximum and minimum temperatures were 31.8 degrees Celsius and 19.3 degrees Celsius, respectively — both a notch below average for this time of the season,” an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official said.

Humidity levels fluctuated between a high of 74 percent and a low of 34 percent. Traces of rain were witnessed early morning in some parts of Delhi.

According to the official, the skies will remain clear Wednesday and the maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 33 and 19 degrees Celsius respectively.

“The national capital will experience mainly dry weather and clear skies. In past three days, the minimum temperature is continuously dipping. Early mornings and late evenings will be cool for the next few days,” the IMD official added.

Monday’s maximum temperature was a notch above average at 34.7 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature was average for this time of the season at 20 degrees Celsius.
