Melbourne, Oct 20: Stephanie Rice, who is poised to announce her retirement from swimming, has planned on careers in both media and fashion.
She was looking happy and relaxed in Sydney this week, as she settled into a new home in Maroubra.
Following an intense Olympic campaign, Rice has quit Brisbane for Sydney, arriving at her new base on Tuesday and sending a flurry of excited updates to social media fans, in which she hinted at plans for a new career away from the pool, the Daily Telegraph added.
Rice’s coach Michael Bohl admitted a week ago that he was poised to sit down with his protege to discuss Rice’s plans.
He added that he had been giving her time post-Olympics to reconnect with her family and enjoy a holiday before turning the conversation to Rio in 2016.
The pair drove to Toowoomba together to open a swimming pool last week and are said to have spent the trip discussing her future in the pool.
Rice has already announced that she is starting her own company and plans to release a children’s swimwear range. (ANI)
