Action to be taken against Taliban in Karachi: Rehman Malik

Islamabad, Nov. 4: Stating that Karachi has turned into a Taliban stronghold, Pakistan Interior Minister Rehman Malik has said the government would move in accordance with the interim order of the Supreme Court on the law and order situation in the city and take action against the Taliban.

Malik said some measures against the Taliban had already been initiated, reports The Dawn.

He said the government would address the apex court’s reservations on the situation in Karachi but added that some aspects of the reasons behind the law and order problem would also be brought to its notice.
