New Delhi, Nov 5: CCTV cameras will be installed at various places on the banks of the Yamuna river and other water bodies in the capital frequented by the devotees to perform Chhath Puja, said Delhi Revenue Minister Arvinder Singh Lovely after a meeting Monday.
The minister also directed Delhi Police to ensure adequate security arrangements during the puja. Tents will be erected for the devotees at several places on the Yamuna banks, he said.
Present at the meeting were Divisional Commissioner-cum-Secretary (Revenue) Dharampal and Tirth Yatra Vikas Samiti chairman Uday Kaushik, among other officials.
Dedicated to the Sun God, Chhath Puja is likely to be observed in the capital Nov 19 or 20.
