Naya Raipur, Nov 2: Jindal Steel and Power Chairman Naveen Jindal Friday said the company would invest Rs.50,000 crore in Chhattisgarh.
He didn’t give a timeline for the investment.
Addressing the first global investors meet here, Jindal, a Congress member of parliament, was all praise for the state’s industrial policy and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government’s attitude towards industries.
‘The Chhattisgarh government has a positive attitude towards industrialisation, it is my karma bhumi (work place),’ said Jindal, adding that JSPL would expand the capacity of its plant in Raigarh.
‘We will be expanding the capacity of our plant by 7 million tonnes,’ he said.
