New Delhi, Nov 2: A 21-year-old man was shot dead in the national capital Thursday night, police said Friday. The alleged killer also received a bullet injury and is in hospital.
Police said Manish Singh Chaudhary, a Delhi University student, was shot by Sanjay Jat, 28, in South Patel Nagar, over a petty argument. The accused and his friends also beat up Manish’s father.
Later, Sanjay was admitted in a hospital with a bullet injury on his right shoulder.
“He’ll be arrested after his is released from the hospital. We are yet to find out if Sanjay shot himself to mislead the police or someone else shot him,” said a police officer.
Sanjay’s mother Saroj, who was also present during the incident, has been arrested.
Meanwhile, Manish’s family members Friday held a protest on the road demanding the arrest of the accused.
