London, Jan 2: Andy Murray has spent two million pounds to buy a 14-room luxury hotel in Scotland.
The 25-year-old tennis ace was one of the three bidders for Cromlix House Hotel in Dunblane, which was the venue for the wedding of his brother Jamie and his Colombian girlfriend Alejandra Gutierrez in 2010, the Daily Mail reported.
The four-star hotel, which closed in February, sits in 36 acres of landscaped grounds within a 2,000-acre estate and features four fishing lochs and two mineral springs.
A source said that nobody knows what the Olympic gold medallist intended to do with the property.
The source added that as it is only ten minutes by helicopter from Gleneagles, the hotel could prove useful during the 2014 Ryder Cup or he could restore it as a private house so that he has a luxury base in Scotland to come back to. (ANI)
