London, Jan 10: Carla Bruni is gearing up to release her first musical offering in four years, after her previous endeavour was slammed by the critics.
The 45-year-old former French First Ladies 2008 album ‘Comme Si De Rien N’etait’ was less than well-received, with French music critic Gerard Delapont declaring at the time that her music had very little merit and she just mumbled instead of singing.
But the 45-year-old Italian-French singer’s agent Bertrand De Labbey has insisted that the reason behind her previous album failing was because the pressure of being France’s first lady stopped her from writing decent tunes.
De Labbey insisted that Bruni was simply a victim of her circumstances while her husband Nicolas Sarkozy, 57, was president of France.
He is now certain that the new album, to be released in the spring, won’t suffer the same fate, the Daily Express reported.
He said that this time she has written a beautiful new album and he hoped that the critics would be able to look beyond her past and see her true artistic qualities. (ANI)
