New Delhi, Jan 19: Sixteen artists have come together for a painting exhibition here on Saturday to showcase the depleting numbers of the national animal of India as a part of ‘Save Tiger Campaign’.
The artists presented their paintings showcasing their perception towards the falling numbers of tigers.
“We are trying to save them through different organisations. If there will be no tiger in future, we have to paint them to show our next generation that how they used to look like,” said Vineeta Dasgupta, a participating artist.
The government has for decades been fighting a losing battle to conserve tiger numbers against poaching, which feeds a lucrative trade. (ANI)
