Washington, Jan 5: Americans are split over how they view the fiscal cliff compromise, according to a poll
According to a Gallup poll, overall, 45 percent said that they disapprove of the Congress-approved plan to avert going over the cliff and 43 percent approved it.
Among Republicans, 27 percent approved the deal, 65 percent disapprove and the rest have no opinion, Politico reports.
According to the poll, 67 percent of Democrats approved the move while 23 percent disapproved it.
The poll, covering 1,026 adults, also showed that 48 percent people disapproved the way President Barack Obama is handling the matter, while 46 percent approved it. (ANI)
