Washington, Feb 5: Former US president Bill Clinton has endorsed a woman for president – and it’s not his wife.
Clinton jokingly suggested that Betty White run for office in a birthday tribute to the 91-year-old-actress set to air on Tuesday, reports Politico.
Clinton, in a preview of the NBC special, said that in a time when America is so bitterly divided, it is important to have a leader who has won the respect and affection of the nation in the way that Betty has.
He said that Betty has, after all, gained praise all the way from President Obama to George Dubya, and then added that he is talking about Presidents Barack Obama and George Washington. (ANI)
