London, Feb 28: Rihanna won a restraining order case against a crazed fan after he tried to break into her Los Angeles home last Thursday.
According to the court order, Steveland Barrow, 31, must now stay at least 100 yards away from Rihanna, the Daily Star reported.
Barrow told police that he had mistaken her neighbour’s house next door for Rihanna’s 8-million-pound mansion.
The papers filed by the lawyers in a Los Angeles court claimed that she had suffered “substantial emotional distress”.
The application read that Rihanna fears for her safety if Barrow is not restrained and that his conduct has proved that he will go to great lengths to come into contact with her and has no regard for her privacy.
The application further read that since Barrow has already been released from custody and knows her whereabouts, an immediate restraining order against him is necessary.
Barrow has gone missing after he was released from custody and is said to have removed items from the house he slept in. (ANI)
