New Delhi, Feb 26: A group of 25 trainee officers of the Indian Audit and Accounts Service (2012 Batch) on Tuesday called on the President Pranab Mukherjee here at the Rashtrapati Bhavan.
These officers are presently undergoing an 89 weeks professional training at the National Academy of Audit and Accounts, Shimla.
Speaking on the occasion, the President said: “Optimal use of public money and public resources is critical for achieving our nation’s developmental goals and inclusive growth.
This should duly and invariably take into account the best interests of the government and the people of India- in whose name the expenditure is being incurred.”
The officers had joined the National Academy of Audit and Accounts, Shimla on 17 December 2012.
The batch comprises of 21 trainee officers, selected through the Civil Service (CSE) Examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) and 2 each from Supreme Audit Institutions of Nepal and Bhutan. (ANI)
